“Fragments & Imagery” Textile Art by Anne Rees & Linda Carr at Picton Castle

Back by popular demand – word of last year’s exhibition spread fast and attracted many new visitors to the Picton Gallery. Words alone cannot describe these sumptuous works of art. For those who have encountered textile art before the artists’ description of “an exhibition of textile images, each created in the artist’s unique style using mixed media” is self-explanatory. If you haven’t seen the work of Anne and Linda, combine in your mind the rich colours and swirling texture of embroidery, the exact detail of quilting and the narrative of tapestry, then blend in pure talent.
